Large Australian paddocks are hard to check by ute every day. SOLARTODO LIMITED's smart-agriculture monitoring system puts the data in one platform instead. The engineering article recommends one weather station plus one soil node for every 3–5 ha management zone, linked by LoRaWAN with 5–15 km rural coverage and 10-minute reporting. Field nodes are solar powered in IP67–IP68 enclosures with LFP battery backup, so they keep logging through winter. Irrigation decisions then follow measured soil moisture and microclimate rather than guesswork. FAQ – How many sensors per hectare? Roughly one weather and one soil node per 3–5 ha zone. Since 2014 SOLARTODO LIMITED has produced its equipment in Gaoyou, Jiangsu; the Australian office is at 201 Sussex Street, Sydney; ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018.
