Review and Takedown Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Reviews help people make informed choices. We publish reviews only for claimed listings and only after the reviewer verifies their email address. Verification confirms control of the email address; it does not prove every statement in a review.
What reviewers must do
- Describe a genuine, first-hand experience accurately and fairly.
- Focus on the service or product, not personal attacks.
- Do not submit fake, incentivised, duplicate or coordinated reviews.
- Do not publish private, confidential, discriminatory, threatening or unlawful material.
- Disclose any relevant personal or commercial relationship.
Moderation and evidence
Reviews remain pending until email verification and moderation. We may reject, edit for privacy, suspend or remove content that breaches this policy or applicable law. We retain verification, moderation and report records for security, complaint handling and legal compliance.
Business replies and reports
Verified business owners can post one public reply and report a review from their owner dashboard. A report should explain the alleged error or policy breach and include supporting evidence where available. Replies must follow the same content standards as reviews.
Complaints and takedown target
Send urgent review complaints to hello@findabusiness.net.au with the listing URL, review details, the specific statements disputed and supporting information. We aim to acknowledge and begin assessing a complete complaint within seven days. Serious safety or clearly unlawful content may be hidden while it is investigated.
Listing corrections and removal
Unclaimed listings include a direct correction and removal link. If the listing is yours, you can also claim it to maintain the details yourself. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
